Well our luck finally ran out. we hit rain just as we were going into Jackson Hole Wyoming. We stopped and ate lunch to see if it was going to let up,I also called Andrea for the weather and It looked like it was going to last all day. The lightening was coming straight down but we braved it out, for a little while. We started driving through the Teton National Park ,but we pulled over and decided to go back to Jackson Hole. We couldn't see the mountains and we wouldn't have been able to seen much in Yellowstone so we are here and we get to go shopping (Hooray). Tomorrow is suppose to be a better day a slight chance of rain.

Day 20 July 20th
Today started out nice 66 degrees, we thought great it is finally getting warm. We headed out on Idaho 21 going to Ponderosa Pine Scenic By way,by the time we got there the temperature dropped to 45 degrees( BURR). The roads and views are great on this road, you can even smell the pine trees.Next we turn onto Sawtooth Scenic Byway you can see the Sawtooth Mountain range as you are driving they are pretty. Our last road was Peaks to the Craters Scenic Byway. We turn on this and drive for a while soon you realize the landscape is changing to rocks ,the further you drive you realize they are lava rocks. We enter Craters of the Moon National Monument. I thought this was so cool, I guess I know what the moon looks like. ( HA HA )

Day 18 July 18th
Today we headed to Mt Rainier ,we almost didn't go all the way because it was foggy. We were only 23 miles away so we said we came this far we might as well go. We are glad we did the higher we got the clearer it got . The sights were great ,we seen a waterfall that had a rainbow in it. Next we drove up to Paradise Inn, this is where all the climbers meet before they make the climb to the top. We got to talk to some of them and that was interesting. Our next stop of the day was Mount St. Helen's,I couldn't believe it when we first seen it, you could see the destruction for miles away. They build a road through were the eruption went. It was kind of eerie riding the same path that the volcano took. You can still see where the trees won't grow back and where the trees were blown away. It even changed the river. We seen a movie about the blast ,so I will save you the history lesson, but it is very interesting.

Day 17 July 17th
Today we are in Yelm Washington visiting with Lulu's sister Debbie and Jim. We have had a great time visiting with them. They are great hosts. This morning Debbie fixed us breakfast with organic bacon, eggs from her chickens, homemade scones and fresh canned raspberry jelly. Everything was so good. Dale and I headed back to the hotel to catch up on laundry and other things. After all this was done we headed back to Debbie's house for dinner. When we gone back to her home she was looking for the queen bee in her hives. We got to see her hen house and garden,Dale and Bernie were being chicken wranglers. They have a great view of Mt. Rainer. Debbie and Jim fixed us smoked pork ( YUM) with homemade barbecue sauce(YUM)roasted potato and coleslaw with cabbage for her garden(YUM). Last but not least cheesecake with homemade raspberry sauce and chocolate cake with chocolate icing( YUM YUM YUM).Thanks Debbie and Jim for your great hospitality. Tomorrow is our turn to head home.
